Five of Kevin Keegan's Entertainers share memories of the late Newcastle manager at Whitley Bay Playhouse on 18 November, hosted by Sky Sports' Pete Graves.

Five members of Kevin Keegan’s famous Newcastle United squad will share a stage at Whitley Bay Playhouse this autumn. An Audience with Keegan’s Entertainers is booked for Wednesday 18 November at 7.30pm, and tickets are on sale now through the venue.

The Playhouse bills the night as “an evening of memories and stories with five of Kevin Keegan’s famous Entertainers hosted by Sky Sports’ Pete Graves”. The event page promises the story of how Keegan “dragged Newcastle United from a relegation battle in the Second Division to a title challenge in the Premier League”.

The evening carries extra weight this year. Keegan died on 20 July at the age of 75, after a battle with cancer. The venue says it is “bound to be an emotional evening as we remember the former Newcastle United legend with some of his greatest players”.

Who is appearing

The Playhouse has not yet named the five former players on its event page. Its listing confirms the host, Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves, and the promoter, Legends Global. We will update this page when the venue publishes the line-up.

Tickets and timings

  • The show starts at 7.30pm on Wednesday 18 November.
  • VIP ticket holders are asked to arrive at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start, and the venue says a limited VIP meet and greet is available.
  • A suite experience adds a pre-show drink, a cheese and meat board and premium seats in the executive suite. The suite holds ten, so smaller groups share unless all ten seats are bought. Reaching it means a short flight of stairs.
  • A booking fee applies, and prices are not listed on the event page itself; they show at the ticket stage.
  • Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, and only food and drink bought inside the venue is allowed.

What it means for you

  • Book through the Playhouse event page if you want to go; one-off football nights at the venue tend to sell to a wide Tyneside audience, not just the town.
  • The Playhouse is on Marine Avenue, a short walk from both Whitley Bay and Monkseaton Metro stations; see our Metro times page for the coast line.
  • Driving in? The evening rules for the streets and car parks nearby are on our parking in Whitley Bay page.
