Hamiedog Menswear at 85 Park View marks ten years with ten offers through October and a one-run anniversary T-shirt made with Longsands Clothing.

Hamiedog Menswear, the independent clothes shop at 85 Park View, is ten years old this month. It is marking the birthday with ten offers running through October and a limited anniversary T-shirt.

The shop announced the milestone in a post on its own website on 6 October. It said that over the decade it had “adapted to changing retail trends, survived a global pandemic, and continued to champion independent retail on Park View”.

“Independent retail is never easy, and reaching ten years is something we’re extremely proud of,” the shop wrote.

What is on for the birthday

The shop’s announcement lists:

  • Ten offers through October. Discounts on selected products, multi-buy deals and other savings. Some run all month and others will appear along the way, announced on the shop’s social media and in store.
  • A Hamiedog 10 Anniversary T-shirt. It was made with Longsands Clothing, which the shop calls a long-time supplier. It is a single limited run: once it sells out, the shop says there will be no second batch.
  • More to come. The shop says it will spend the coming weeks looking back at its favourite memories and the people and brands that have been part of its story.

Who runs it

The business was founded in Whitley Bay in 2016 and has been on Park View since then, according to its own website.

Its about page says it is still run by the same two people. Scott, the owner and designer behind the Hamiedog label, is usually in the shop at weekends. His mother, Maz, the assistant manager, runs it during the week. Alongside its own Hamiedog clothing it stocks other brands, from OddBalls underwear to Mancave grooming products.

What it means for you

  • The shop is at 85 Park View, NE26 3RL. Its contact page gives opening hours of 10am to 3pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9.30am to 5pm on Saturday. It says hours can vary and to check its social media before a trip.
  • The October offers end with the month, and the anniversary T-shirt is limited to one production run.
